The company was renamed as the ‘Engineering and Lighting Equipment Company’ (ELECO).

Eleco incorporated on the 11 July.
1939
Eleco listed on the London Stock Exchange 26 July.
1960
Eleco undertakes its first acquisition in Bell & Webster Industries Ltd, which establishes Eleco as a supplier of structural systems.
1989
Eleco continues to grow with new partnerships in Munich, Budapest, Johannesburg and Kuala Lumpur. The company also begins supplying cable tray products for major UK civil engineering projects such as the Channel Tunnel.
1994
Eleco Technology is formed to focus on R&D for Eleco Group and the development of specialised construction software.
1999
Eleco establishes a permanent presence in Germany following the acquisition of ActiveOnline in 8th September.
2000
Consultec UK (Merged with Elecosoft UK).
2001
Eleco aquires ElAnalys AB (merged with Elecosoft Sweden).
2002
Eleco enters the software market with the acquisitions of ESIGN Software GmbH (Germany) and the Consultec AB (Sweden).
2003
Eleco expands portfolio in Germany with the acquisition of Eleco Software GmbH.
2004
Eleco acquires Eleco Software UK and Tendata AB (merged with Elecosoft Sweden).
2005
VVS-I acquired and merged with Elecosoft Sweden.
2006
Eleco plc acquires the British company Asta Group Limited and its Powerproject software.
2009
Asta Development GmbH and Aprisoft purchased in Germany.
2010
Eleco acquires Lube Konsult AB (merged with Elecosoft Sweden).
2012
Eleco acquires Novator AB (merged with Elecosoft Sweden).
2013
Eleco divests remaining building systems and precast concrete businesses, making Eleco a software focused Group. ELECO also purchases Wagermeyer, Germany.
2015
ELECO changes name to Elecosoft as decided at the 75th Annual General Meeting. The change reflects new software portfolio, providing a clean and clear message across all companies working for Elecosoft.
2016
Elecosoft acquires IconSystem (UK), providers of building specification and information management systems and Asta Development BV in the Netherlands.
2018
Elecosoft performs two major acquisitions: Shire Systems Limited (ShireSystem), a leading UK provider of computerised maintenance management software (CMMS); and Active Online, a German visualisation software business specialising in soft furnishings and materials for photographic room scenes using AR and VR technologies.
2019
The company celebrates its 80th year of incorporation and listing on the London Stock Exchange.
2020
Elecosoft plc rebrands to Eleco plc.
2023
Eleco plc acquires BestOutcome Limited, a leading UK provider of simple, scalable project portfolio management software.
2024
Eleco plc acquires specialist software development consultancy, Vertical Digital group of companies, consisting of Vertical Digital SRL and Sons of Coding SRL.
