The introduction of Asta Estimate in the UK solves several challenges facing construction projects by providing a standalone, feature rich and highly capable cost and carbon estimating solution; as well as improving workflows through integration with world-class planning and scheduling tool Asta Powerproject.  This means 4D BIM project scheduling and 5D BIM cost estimation are now available from an individual vendor.

Drawing on more than three decades of experience supporting the UK’s construction, infrastructure, and housebuilding sectors, Asta Estimate enables estimators, commercial teams, and project leaders’ greater control over cost, programme, and carbon management in a single solution.

Asta Estimate delivers a proprietary UK estimating database structured around Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) NRM1 and NRM2 classifications, helping teams standardise how they build up and present costs. It also supports carbon measurement, using embedded carbon factors sourced from the Inventory of Carbon & Energy (ICE) database, which allows subcontractors to report carbon estimates alongside cost in an integrated process.

Built for construction estimating, not spreadsheets

Asta Estimate replaces fragmented spreadsheets with structured estimating workflows and a comprehensive database, supporting the way subcontractors build up labour, plant, material and method. It supports both 2D and 3D take-off, integrates with BIM, and provides extensive, more auditable estimates that are easier to review, update and hand over into delivery.

Gerry Kelliher, Managing Director of Elecosoft, added:

“Asta Estimate is the foundation for more consistent, data-driven estimating for subcontractors. By connecting estimating, planning and carbon metrics, it helps teams price work faster, collaborate more effectively, and protect margins, while meeting growing expectations for transparency on both cost and carbon.”

Key benefits for UK subcontractors

  • Connected estimating: Seamlessly integrates with Asta Powerproject, Power BI, Bluebeam, and leading ERP solutions through flexible export options and an open API framework, enabling smooth, unified data flow across a project ecosystem.
  • NRM-structured cost data: UK databases aligned to NRM1 and NRM2 support consistent build-ups and clearer tender presentation.
  • Carbon included in the estimate: Embedded carbon factors sourced from the ICE database support carbon reporting alongside cost and programme visibility.
  • Scalable and adaptable: Modular design that grows with a company’s project needs.

With the launch of Asta Estimate, Elecosoft reinforces its commitment to supporting companies in the built environment on their digital transformation journey by providing best of breed software that enhances accuracy, productivity and transparency across the construction lifecycle.

Asta Estimate is now available to UK customers through Elecosoft’s regional sales and support teams.
