Digital Construction Week 2026: Where People, Technology and Construction Innovation Came Together
Digital Construction Week 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to connect with contractors, project teams, partners and industry leaders from across the construction sector.
Thank you to everyone who visited the Eleco stand and shared their insights on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of digital construction. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation and effective digital solutions in improving project outcomes.
From Digital Tools to Connected Project Delivery
A key theme from our conversations was the importance of connecting information, teams and decision-making across the project lifecycle.
While the construction industry has made significant progress in adopting digital tools, many organisations still face challenges around visibility, collaboration and accessing reliable information when it matters most.
The organisations making the greatest progress are those creating connected environments where planning, estimating, project controls and delivery teams can work from a shared understanding of project performance.

Managing Director, Gerry Kelliher at Eleco noted after the event. “In my discussions across the event, there was a clear emphasis on bringing data, teams, and processes together to improve outcomes across the entire project lifecycle. The focus is shifting beyond individual solutions towards how everything integrates to drive better coordination, visibility, and control. That’s where the real value lies, and it’s encouraging to see the industry moving in that direction.”
At Eleco, we describe this as Connected Planning Intelligence. Through the Asta Suite, including Asta Powerproject, Asta Vision and Asta Estimate, construction teams can connect planning, estimating, collaboration and delivery from early design through to project completion. By bringing these functions together, organisations gain greater visibility, control and confidence throughout all project delivery.

Connecting Carbon, Cost and Programme Session
Contractors are under increasing pressure to reduce carbon without increasing costs or delaying delivery. This was the challenge at the heart of our session, Carbon, Cost and Programme: Joining the Dots for UK Contractors. As sustainability requirements continue to grow, carbon is no longer just a reporting metric. It is shaping planning decisions, procurement strategies and project delivery from the outset.
Sustainable construction is no longer just about measuring outcomes. It is about using data intelligently to drive decisions that deliver both commercial and environmental value. The future of sustainable construction will depend not just on measuring outcomes, but on embedding better intelligence into everyday decision-making.
Ben Taunt, Senior Commercial Manager at Eleco noted after the event. “The discussion reinforced a clear message: sustainability is strongest when embedded within planning and delivery decisions. Bringing carbon, cost and programme together enable projects that are commercially viable, more efficient, and genuinely lower impact. This joined-up thinking is delivering real progress across the industry.”

Practical Innovation in Construction
As sponsors of the C-Tech Club Start-Up Village, we were proud to support a community that continues to challenge the status quo and bring fresh thinking to the industry.
The construction technology landscape is evolving rapidly, but one message stood out clearly throughout the event: innovation creates value when it solves real-world problems.
This was also a key theme in our session, Built to Sell: What Drives Successful Exits in Construction Tech. While the discussion focused on growth, investment and business success, it reinforced an important point: the most successful technologies are those that help users work smarter, reduce risk and improve outcomes. As construction technology matures, organisations are becoming increasingly focused on solutions that deliver measurable impact rather than adding complexity. A positive shift for the industry.

The future of construction won’t be defined by technology alone. It will be shaped by how successfully we combine people, processes and innovation to deliver projects with greater certainty, efficiency and confidence.
Conversations That Matter
Digital Construction Week showcased some of the industry’s most exciting innovations, but as is often the case, the most valuable conversations happened away from the stage.
They happened on the exhibition floor, at the stand, between sessions and over coffee. They happened when planners, project teams, contractors and technology providers shared their experiences and discussed the realities of project delivery today.
Amy Law, Senior Marketing Manager at Eleco noted after the event. “DCW 2026 felt like a real shift in tone. The sessions were packed, conversations were direct, and it was great to spend meaningful time with both customers and new prospects. What stood out most was a move away from innovation for its own sake, towards a much sharper focus on practical application, clear briefs, defined use cases, and demonstrable benefits. It’s not that innovation is slowing in construction, but rather that the industry is becoming more focused on how technology delivers real, measurable value on projects.”
Across those discussions, common themes emerged: the need for better visibility, stronger collaboration, more reliable forecasting and greater confidence in decision-making.Technology has an important role to play in addressing these challenges. But its real value comes from helping people work together more effectively and make better-informed decisions.
